Where to surf in Bidart?
Uhabia is a beach break on Uhabia beach. The spot is rather surfable at low and mid-tide and is suitable for all levels. With the river mouth, good sandbanks can form in the south, creating a left/right peak that works well and regularly. The south side (Uhabia) is popular with bodyboarders at high tide because the shorebreak forms a tube very close to the shore.
Ibarritz is the first beach before reaching the center of Bidart, just after Milady, coming down from Biarritz. The spot is relatively accessible and works better at low and mid-tide. It is suitable for all types of surfers, whether beginners or advanced. Although it is a beach break, be cautious as there are some rocks to the south of the beach. Be careful in the summer, the spot is very crowded, you need to be mindful of other surfers in the water.
