BODYSURF & BODYBOARD RENTAL BY HOMIE BOARDS
This is undoubtedly the purest discipline in the surfing world: it is practised without a board or with a bodyboard (a small board on which the bodysurfer lays his belly) as close to the wave as possible.
WHAT EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED FOR BODYSURFING?
Bodysurfing is practised without any special equipment (surfing the waves on your stomach) and is generally done with flippers (to get enough speed to ride the waves). Your arms will be useful for giving direction to your glide and eventually doing tricks!
HOW DO YOU GO BODYBOARDING?
Bodyboarding is the perfect sport for beginners looking for their first gliding experiences in the waves, but it’s also sure to win over thrill-seekers. You can ride a bodyboard lying on your stomach, but you can also kneel or even stand up (which is very rare and reserved for experienced bodyboarders).
Very manoeuvrable, this board will quickly enable you to perform your bottoms turns (first turn at the bottom of the wave) and even some emblematic tricks such as 360s or el rollo (horizontal spins performed using the lip of the wave as a springboard).
In short, a sport for all levels that will give you great sensations in the water and less difficulty when you start out than a surfboard. It’s the perfect way to familiarise yourself with the marine environment. Give it a try!
