FISH RENTAL BY HOMIE BOARDS
This old-school looking board has been making a strong comeback in recent years. Originally a kneeboard, it has grown in popularity and evolved to become a benchmark.
This type of board offers sensations that are much appreciated by experienced surfers in light summer conditions. Fishs are surfboards that are short, wide and have a tight rocker, making them lively, fast and comfortable in small waves.
As with all types of board, fish can be differentiated by several aspects: retro or performance fish, twin fin or quad, there’s something for everyone, not to mention different characteristics such as volume, size and thickness. So how do you choose your fish? Size-wise, it’s pretty straightforward: choose a board with the same volume as your favourite shortboard for hollow waves, or slightly more (32L instead of 30L, for example) for softer waves.
Retro or performance? It all depends on your tastes: a performance fish will be more responsive, while a retro will be better for big curves. Note that only the performance fish can be fitted as a fine quad (4 fins).
Finally, this board is aimed at all (experienced) surfers with a taste for speed and superb cutbacks (the fish’s favourite trick) who want to make the most of the summer and discover new sensations.
